While studying abroad, I have been motivated to keep on top of my studies so that I can use my spare time to explore my hobbies, travel, and make new friends. I am currently just over halfway through my study abroad experience in Austria/Germany. Ghana Field School: A Cultural Journey

After the many long flights and bus rides, I have finally settled and found my place within one of Ghana’s small communities, Frankadua. Our group of student nurses have been welcomed with smiles and open arms- a feeling that can only be described as coming together with old friends after a long period apart. My Western thought process and lifestyle has already been challenged immensely and I am reminded that there is no “right” way of living. However, I do think I would appreciate a cooler temperature at times.
